I was able to finish the head, and heat treat it to the appropriate temper. One area where I was having issue was coming up with a scroll design that I felt enhanced the flow of the hammer while including leaf patterns. In the ended I came up with a new scroll pattern that I have never made before and I am very happy with the results. The handle is red cherry wood that I love set with brass pins.
